David Filo and Jerry Yang were once students, sitting inside a crowded trailer in 1994 thinking about the new Internet explosion and how to categorize and organize this information enormity. Their time, creativity and thoughts later evolved in to this big corporation now we all know as Yahoo!
Similarly, we are all now couple of bloggers investing our time, creativity and thoughts to express ourselves in this new and vibrant medium known as blogs. There are doctors, lawyers, house wives, farmers -- people in every social fabric finding this new medium of creativity a boon to relax from their hectic schedules or to utilize their free time. The content we bloggers provide is free, free only to entertain the readers.
Unless specified, it is not free to copy the text, copy the pictures and paste it onto some other blogs or some other type of media. There have been many cases of plagiarisation and as the blogs grew rich and professional in content, there were more thieves eyeing the content.
One such thief is none but Yahoo! itself. Yahoo! India is a subsidiary of Yahoo Corporation. When Yahoo! India launched Indian Language portals, they copied contents (recipes, poems, stories) from bloggers. Easy to start a portal, right? One cannot believe a huge corporation would do that. But it happened. Read the related stories, evidence.

We all make mistakes, we apologize later. Don’t we all? To live in a society we have to follow such norms. We bloggers complained to Yahoo! and Yahoo! India. How did they respond? They simply refused to apologize. Yahoo! India office even had the audacity to claim copying contents is not copyright violation. The subcontractor (WebDunia) for Yahoo! India claims all was done on ‘good faith’. Contents were removed from Yahoo’s domain silently. If this was done on good faith and there was no copyright violation? Isn’t this a shame? Imagine if it was between two corporations instead of corporate vs blog? It would have been any lawyers’ dream.
Blogs are common man’s voice and oh yeah! Any corporate can swallow us. Here we are Yahoo! Come swallow us! Bulldoze us and eradicate us! Chew on our blogs and be content. Oops “content”, does that ring a bell Yahoo!?
Today March 5th we are protesting against this injustice by Yahoo! and Yahoo! India.
Hundreds of blogs have joined us against this blatant corruption and injustice by this conglomerate.

But now after reading so many of your links I got a clear picture of what it means and i really feel very very bad about this. Shame on Yahoo!. I will protest by deleting my yahoo account, and making sure that I dont use their search engine..IF EVERYONE does that the revenue that yahoo hopes to make from adverisers on their (plagiarized) web page will decrease eventually and ONLY loss of Cash will teach them a lesson !!

Why dont all of the people who are aware of this organize an email protest to yahoo's corporate office.. The number of emails that are sent to their email server regarding this issue should cause them to take notice.. otherwise such big corporations dont sit up and take notice .. will call all this as chatter on the bloggosphere and discredit it,
Yahoo India's servers should be flooded by these emails so that they realise it s a genuine issue , and not some blog rant !!
Shame on Yahoo for such callous disregard for content handling.. they wd not dare to do this in the US or any other country where the legal system will be on them in 2 seconds because lawyers are waiting for these firms to slip up here !! In India, they think its Ok because who will catch them for such stuff ??

"Yahoo! respects the blogging community and the etiquette followed by bloggers. We regret any inconvenience caused by the inadvertent posting of the recipe without attribution.
The content on Yahoo! India's language portal is provided by Webdunia under the express representation that Webdunia has all the necessary rights and
authorization for all the content provided by them. When this incident was reported, the recipe content was immediately removed to avoid any unnecessary conflict.
Yahoo! India is concerned about the sentiments of the blogging community as we completely endorse the values of blogging on the Internet".

In the least, we have made it a point that Bloggers are no weak lemmings and together we can stand against any corporate giants when it comes to plagiarism and insensitivity!
We have also made it difficult for any future attempts of commercial entitities to just clip, copy paste material that have been created from the blood, sweat and tears of us, silly creatures.
A big salute for each and everyone of you, regardless of how little or large a contribution you may have provided by way of posts, comments and other off-line and on-line support!
I hope that we preserve this solidarity for a long time to come and use it diligently as and when needed!

(But I am still a bit confused if the local content provider is trying to fool both their client (Yahoo India) and us bloggers on the other side, by a misappropriately placed statement that is still not upto a proper apology!
Hope Yahoo will arrange some third party translators to help them understand Malayalam text!
Despite the vague lines pretending to be 'the apology', there has been also reports of Yahoo apologizing to an Indian house wife in some responsible news media. It is not clear whether these reports are based on any real facts. No symptoms of such apology seems present on either at the affected blogs or at the Yahoo's own site bare the pretentive statement mentioned above.
I feel that the affected bloggers can still pursue their struggle, if they wish so, through every means they find suitable including legal options.
Neverthless, certainly, our mission has already been a hitherto unseen success by it's very popular appeal and the tremours it generated!

A sensation arose across the hindi blogosphere when Yahoo! stole the content from a couple of blogs when they launched their Hindi & Malyalam portals. As S.Chandrashekharan reports, when accused of plagiarism Yahoo! quietly removed the content without so much as bothering to acknowledge the ridiculous activity & apologizing for it. Imagine, if someone had done this kinda thing with Yahoo!, they’d straightaway sued that guy!!

有關專利的取得，各國立法例有別，有採『先申請主義』，亦有採『先發明主義』者。
依我國專利法第二十三條規定，二人以上有相同發明者，由先申請之人取得專利權。另外，參照專利法第九十五條規定，申請專利之新型，與申請在先而在其申請後始公開或公告之發明或新型專利申請案所附說明書或圖式載明之內容相同者，不得取得新型專利。再參酌專利法第一百十一條規定，申請專利之新式樣，與申請在先而在其申請後始公告之新式樣專利申請案所附圖說之內容相同或近似者，不得取得新式樣專利。可知，我國專利法就專利之取得係採『先申請主義』，也就是說，如果有二人以上有相同之發明，由先申請專利之人取得專利權。
