I second Sindhu's guess. Its also goes by the name ambada or ambado, (usually pickled).

I remember another guessing game of the same ingredient, sometime last year. I won't give away the blogger's name yet.:)

ambazhanga. As somebody has guessed it as young mango, my co-sis also mistook it as mango. She even purchased for pickling. The best part is she haven't heard abt ambazhanga. So didnot have any doubt over it.
